Maya Williams (ey/they/she) is a Black multiracial nonbinary suicide survivor who is Portland, Maine's seventh Poet Laureate. They have published in venues such as Homology Lit, glitterMOB, Indianapolis Review, The Portland Press Herald, and more. Ey was one of three artists of color selected by the Indigo Arts Alliance to represent the state of Maine for The Kennedy Center's Arts Across America series in 2020.
